    Wow. What an exchange.

On the subject of price, let me just say this. All new tech gadgets cost more at the beginning of the product life cycle. If the early adopters purchase solar chargers en masse, the price will come down. This is also first gen technology. I think the real issue here is the potential for this. It's cool. I would have never thought that a portable solar device was available today to charge my phone.

There will be more like this, at a lower cost and with more features and longer charging cycles. That's the nature of tech product innovation.

Nice job. I like coming here and finding out about new green tech gadgets!

    Hi,

Is "green" = "non-technical"? What about telling us the Ah (Ampere-hour) rating, rather that 1 hour of sun etc?

By the way, the quoted bigger version is hardly bigger, and it costs 103 dollar. And it exists since 2007....

    Cheers,
    Hans

We sell the Solios at the lowest allowable manufacturer's price because we have testimonials from owners that they are the best. A former Peace Corps volunteer told me his "saved my sanity for two years" while he was in Africa, charging his cell phone and ipod in a village with no power. Hikers, campers adventurers and greens love them. We also give 10% of our profits to impoverished people. http://Oakleighvermont.com/buy
